There are times though that we will have to refer your dog for specialist care. To this end we maintain excellent relationships with specialist practices and will always offer referral at the earliest possible opportunity where we feel this is in the best interest of your pet.
Comprehensive Care
To ensure the very best of care 24 hours a day, every day of the year, in the event of an emergency please call Animal Medical Center 775-827-3033 as soon as you can . We will of course see you immediately even if you arrive at the door without letting us know you are coming. But it is better for you – and your dog – if we are prepared. So it’s best to call first.
If you have an emergency outside of our regular business hours, we recommend that you contact the excellent Animal Emergency Center of Reno 775-851-3600 when we are closed. This service is staffed by dedicated emergency veterinarians and technicians. It is open at nights, weekends and holidays.
We stand behind their work and would urge you call them in the event of any emergency out-of-hours. They will forward to us a full report of their findings for us to pick up first thing in the mornings and as such ensuring a smooth transition of care for your dog.
